Prof. Sylvie Faucheux
The DEFORM project Coordinator, she heads INSEEC international research Innovation & Development valuation program, a program having evident links with the DEFORM's objectives and potential impacts. Her academic duties also extend to the CNAM where she is full professor and National Director of Master Programs in Sustainable Development.
A major french economist, she was one of the first in the field to work on non-measurable assets, specifically in the field of environment and sustainable development. As early as 1995, she founded and managed the Center for Economics Ethics, Environment and Sustainable Development, which became in 2002 a joint research unit between UVSQ and the Institut de Recherche Pour le Développement (IRD) (Institute of Development Research). She chaired the European Association for Ecological Economics from 1994 to 1998 before becoming a board member of the International Society for Ecological Economics. From 1994 to 2001, she was a member of the European Consultative Forum on Environment and Sustainable Development. She then took responsibility of the European working group on climate change.
From 2002 to 2012 she was president of the Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines University and manage to have this university enter the world academic ranking. In addition to its core activities, she is a member of the Board of Research and Higher Education in France since 2002 and responsible, within it, of the working group on sustainable development. She is also part of the scientific board of Cemagref since 2001 and is, since 1997, lead editor in The International Journal of Sustainable Development (IJSD).
In DEFORM, as the head of the project board, she is in charge of general project's coordination. She also participates to research activities in relation with economic modelisation (weak signals identification) and planned ratios development.
Caroline Gans Combe
is senior researcher/lecturer with INSEEC where she works on value creation new paradigms, social responsibility and non-financial reporting.
Concomitantly, she is Reihoo’s CEO – a SME & training centre dedicated to the transfer of skills and the development of ethical and pragmatic practices in the field of innovation financing (structured and project finance) specifically through the deployment of dedicated e-learning tools - and independent expert for the European Commission in different fields such as health, ICT, data security, SME financing and ethics. In this respect she chaired a working group dedicated to best practices in the use of data in research (data protection and privacy ethical guidelines), and was appointed in the Expert Group Assessing the Investment Potential of SMEs Emerging from of the SME Instrument. Through Reihoo, she designed and deployed more than 256 hours of online value and financing related courses.
A certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, she is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). Graduate of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris, she holds a Master in ICT Law, a PHD in language modelling and is completing a thesis on the new value paradigms : enhancing economic agents financial valuation through the integration of currently ignored cycles in existing methodologies and accounting tools.
She is also a member of the editorial board of expert review, a future science group publication http://www.expert-reviews.com/ and Reviewer for the Journal of Medical Ethics http://jme.bmj.com/ as well as for the International Journal of Sustainable Development :
In DEFORM, she is general co-coordinator and scientific coordinator. She works on the development of methodologies, economic models, as well as statistical and econometric validation processes. She is also in charge - concomitantly with professor Faucheux and INSEECs administrative teams, in charge of the project day to day management .
